Sir
At the request of Niewoleega [Neolegan?] Delaware
Chief, I am to inform you that he intends leave
this Province soon in order to settle at [Kuskuskey?]
a town situate on a Branch of the Ohio River.
But thinks it his duty first to acquaint his friends in Philad
to prevent any wrong apprehention that probibily
might happen to arrive on Acct of him & other
Indians moving from their present settlement at the
Grate Island on Susquehana River—
His reasons for moving are, that his nation have
no Right to Lands on Susquehanna River
that it's discouraging to work the Land of Others
and a Nation called Wandots [Wyandots] have made
[unreadable] present of Land to his nation on the Ohio
He says he wou'd go to Philadl—but dreads the
Consequence of his family’s taking the smallpox
He says he will go to Reading Town in abot
three Weeks where he will wait some time in hopes
you will Take pity on him & family & meet him
Pray, Excuse me in troubling you with this letter the
poor man is very desirous in seeing you.—
