support and protect them, whom they still consider as their
Enemy. That the Hand on which these Indians were
before seated appears to the Council a place equally well
adapted to their security and protection as any within this
Province. And therefore the Council unanimously advised
his Honour not to receive the said Indians within this govern-
ment or to suffer them to pass thro' the Province, but to
have the proper orders to the justices and magistrates of
Richmond County to stop and cause them to return.
