By The Honourable John Penn, Esq; Lieutenant-Governor and Commander in Chief of the Province of Pennsylvania, and Counties of New-Castle, Kent, and Sussex, on Delaware, A Proclamation. : Whereas His Majesty, by His Royal Proclamation, given at St. James's the Seventh Day of October, One Thousand Seven Hundred and Sixty-three ... was graciously pleased to declare and enjoin, that the Trade with the several Nations of Tribes of Indians ... should be free and open to all His Majesty's Subjects whatever ... Given under my Hand, and the Great Seal of the said Province, at Philadelphia, the Fourth Day of June, in the Fifth Year of His Majesty's Reign, and in the Year of our Lord One Thousand Seven Hundred and Sixty-five. Opening trade with the Indians. Signed: John Penn. By His Honour's command, Joseph Shippen, Junior, secretary. At head of title: royal arms.
