General Forbes to Israel Pemberton, January 15, 1759 - 1

[Three Suns] Jany 15th 1759

Sir
I had the favour of yours last night but was
gone to be before I received it.—

I should be very sorry that you persuaded me to do anything
that could give umbrage to the province or provincial commissions
by giving protections for carrying up your goods.—tho' I
cannot but highly applaud your Zeal for the service.

Therefor without hesitation send you the below order for yourself
and the enclosed for the Commanding Officers.
I am—
Sir your most humble servant
[Jo] Forbes

To Mr Israel Pemberton.
