To promote public engagement, Will Fenton regularly presents the project to a range of audiences at a host of different platforms, including the McNeil Center for Early American Studies, the MLA Connected Academics Summer Institute, Lehigh University, Keystone DH, NYC DH Week, PhillyDH, and Philadelphia Archives Month. The project has been featured in the American Quarterly, Common-place, Fordham Ram, Omohundro Institute of Early American History and Culture, Organization of American Historians, and Philadelphia Inquirer.
In some instances, public engagement has made Digital Paxton more complete. For example, a collaboration with students and faculty at Shepherd and Loyola University enabled a new crowdsourced transcription project, and a Spring 2017 exhibition at the Library Company of Philadelphia has been integrated into the project as a key historical framework.
